Is it safe to merge Shopify customers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Merges preserve all order history, tags, notes, and metadata. You review every merge before it's applied. Nothing is deleted—profiles are consolidated.

Does MergeGuard access payments or checkout?

No. MergeGuard only accesses customer profile data. We never touch payments, checkout, financial data, or inventory.

Is customer data encrypted?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices.

Is my data stored or shared?

We process data to identify duplicates but don't permanently store customer PII. We never share or sell your data.

Is MergeGuard GDPR compliant?

What happens to customer data if I uninstall?

Your Shopify data stays in Shopify. We delete any temporary processing data within 30 days of uninstall.
